When it comes to new and inovative products, I somehow always get sucked into trying them. It's not that I'm not totally satisfied with my current skincare system, but trying a new product for me is like opening up a new toy on Christmas morning, I just get excited. Maybe that's what makes me a beauty addict?
Anywho.. the L'oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser is a foaming cleanser that comes with an added bonus: a scrublet which fits right in the bottle. The oil-free cleanser is a high-foaming gel which L'oreal claims unclogs pores as it removes oil, dirt and makeup. The cleanser contains notes of naranji, orange flower and mint which feels really refreshing on the skin.
Pros: I really liked the cleanser at first, the mint felt really nice in the morning when you need that wakeup boost, and it did a pretty good job of removing all of my makeup, even better than my regular cleanser. The scrublet, a small silicone feeling scrubber that gently cleanses the skin, was a great add on and left my skin feeling smooth, clean and looking radient. I loved that the scrublet fit in the hole in the bottle, rather than having to leave it on the bathroom sink or misplacing it who knows where.
Cons: As much as I really wanted to love this cleanser after a few uses I noticed my normally oily skin starting to feel dry and tight (I suspect the mint is the culprit.)
Verdict: While I wasn't too big on the cleanser in the end, I'll probably still use it once in a while. But the scrublet is definitely here to stay, and I've found it works great with my regular cleanser and really helps clear away any makeup or residue.

Overly-commercialized-Hallmark-holiday or not, Valentine’s Day is probably one of my favorite days of the year. Whether you’re in a relationship with that special someone and looking to pass along some cute ideas, or just looking for a fun gift for your close girl friends here are some great beauty-filled Valentine’s Day gift ideas that aren’t flowers (they die, anyway) or chocolate (who needs all those extra calories).

Just to give you a little background info, my hair is very straight, very fine (yet there’s a lot of it) and it does not hold a curl no matter how hard I try. And believe me I’ve tried everything, curl creams, tons of hairspray, hot rollers, expensive curling irons, rollers, curling with a flat iron and never fail my hair is flat within an hour or so. I love the whole wavy curl boho look and I am pretty much willing to try anything to get it.
I heard about the Enzo Milano curling iron from a friend who swore by it. Its different from other curling irons so I thought It was worth a shot. The Enzo Milano curling iron is a clipless (clampless) iron, just a prong basically so my initial reaction was how the heck am I going to use this without burning myself? Anyway I ordered on from enzomilano.com and was super excited to try it out when it arrived a few days later.

Over-processing, heat styling and lack of proper care can leave hair feeling dry and damaged. There’s plenty of products out there to prevent damage and breakage, but what do you do when your hair has already reached the point of being dry and damaged? Its time to pull out the big guns for some serious hair repair and deep reconstructing.
The Basics:
When hair is damaged and breaking from over-processing, heat styling, highlighting etc. chances are its lacking in protein. Protein is what keeps hair strong and elastic and prevents it from breaking. The highlighting/bleaching process involves removing color and proteins from the hair giving it a pale-yellow blonde appearance. Remove too much of the protein and the hair is left damaged and easily breakable.
The Solution:
Restructure hair by adding back protein to strengthen hair and giving it moisture to soften and add shine.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past few months you’ve probably heard the buzz about a new product called the OraBrush. The OraBrush is essentially a tongue brush with claims to remove bad breath causing bacteria (which the company claims 90% of which resides on your tongue.) Now I’m not gonna lie, every once in a while I wake up with what I like to call ‘morning breath’ which I’m sure most people do. (right?) Which isn’t that big of deal if you plan on brushing your teeth right away, but what if you wake up to that someone special and they go in for a kiss? Do you keep a pack of gum by your bed just incase? Or wake up before they do and do a quick swish with mouthwash? (both of which, I admit, have done)
So I decided to give the OraBrush a shot, I didn’t have that high of expectations of it, I already had a pretty thorough oral care routine stemming from my days of braces. I of course brush and floss, mouthwash and to clean my tongue I usually use one of those tongue cleaner things that comes one the other side of some toothbrushes. So I wasn’t expecting it to have any added benefit, but it was free (just paid shipping) so why not try it?
