Enzo Milano Curling Iron Review

By Kellness · January 28, 2010 · 2 Comments · 67 Views

Just to give you a little background info, my hair is very straight, very fine (yet there’s a lot of it) and it does not hold a curl no matter how hard I try. And believe me I’ve tried everything, curl creams, tons of hairspray, hot rollers, expensive curling irons, rollers, curling with a flat iron and never fail my hair is flat within an hour or so. I love the whole wavy curl boho look and I am pretty much willing to try anything to get it.

I heard about the Enzo Milano curling iron from a friend who swore by it. Its different from other curling irons so I thought It was worth a shot. The Enzo Milano curling iron is a clipless (clampless) iron, just a prong basically so my initial reaction was how the heck am I going to use this without burning myself? Anyway I ordered on from enzomilano.com and was super excited to try it out when it arrived a few days later.

The iron I purchased is the 25mm (1 inch) round Grande and it only has one heat setting so if you prefer to change the heat setting this iron might not be for you. It also came with a heat proof glove (yay for not burning yourself!) and a storage pouch. The iron heated up quite quickly and was easy to get the hang of even though its quite different from a conventional curling iron. To use the iron you take a small piece of hair and pointing the iron prong down handle up you wrap the hair around the barrel and hold for as long as you would a normal iron (5-10 seconds for me)

I started out using the glove but found it a bit difficult to section the hair with the glove on so I ended up taking it off, and needless to say I burnt myself a few times so wearing the glove is definitely a must, at least the first few times you use it. You don’t have to use the glove, you can also wrap the hair all the way around leaving the tip to hold on to. But the glove assures you don’t burn yourself and allows you to wrap your entire hand around the curl.

The iron gave me the perfect wavy curls, it was love at first sight. I simply sprayed with a little finishing spray but the real test was whether or not the curls would last through a night of fun and dancing. To my surprise when I woke up the next morning my hair still had a great curl to it, not bad for hair that never holds a curl! I’m definitely sold on this, and would recommend it to anyone with hard (impossible) to curl locks.

Best of all right now Enzo Milano is giving away this iron for free, you only pay shipping. Enter code: ENZO1325 at checkout.

Came across your review and wanted to buy one. However, on their website, there is no way for me to add products to my cart. I called and emailed them and had no response. Am I just being silly and not seeing the add to cart button?? How did you do it? (o:

Do you use any sort of heat protector product or anything to help hold your curl? My hair is also very fine and straight and I have a ton of it, and I have trouble getting a curl from an iron to stay put, so I'd love to know if you've got tips!
