Just to give you a little background info, my hair is very straight, very fine (yet there’s a lot of it) and it does not hold a curl no matter how hard I try. And believe me I’ve tried everything, curl creams, tons of hairspray, hot rollers, expensive curling irons, rollers, curling with a flat iron and never fail my hair is flat within an hour or so. I love the whole wavy curl boho look and I am pretty much willing to try anything to get it.
I heard about the Enzo Milano curling iron from a friend who swore by it. Its different from other curling irons so I thought It was worth a shot. The Enzo Milano curling iron is a clipless (clampless) iron, just a prong basically so my initial reaction was how the heck am I going to use this without burning myself? Anyway I ordered on from enzomilano.com and was super excited to try it out when it arrived a few days later.

Over-processing, heat styling and lack of proper care can leave hair feeling dry and damaged. There’s plenty of products out there to prevent damage and breakage, but what do you do when your hair has already reached the point of being dry and damaged? Its time to pull out the big guns for some serious hair repair and deep reconstructing.
The Basics:
When hair is damaged and breaking from over-processing, heat styling, highlighting etc. chances are its lacking in protein. Protein is what keeps hair strong and elastic and prevents it from breaking. The highlighting/bleaching process involves removing color and proteins from the hair giving it a pale-yellow blonde appearance. Remove too much of the protein and the hair is left damaged and easily breakable.
The Solution:
Restructure hair by adding back protein to strengthen hair and giving it moisture to soften and add shine.

So over the holidays I was in desperate need of a root touch up and a micro-trim and unfortunately couldn’t get an appointment with my regular stylist whom I absolutely love and fly all the way to Canada just to visit.
So anyway, I took a risk and went to a salon to see a stylist my friend recommended and suffice to say, wasn’t too pleased with the results (wrong color, way too dark and awful toner job) but my hair felt really healthy after she put this oil in my hair before blow drying. I wasn’t totally sold on it right away, as usually hair always feels amazing when you leave a salon so I skipped on buying it and made a mad dash to my regular stylist to see if she could save my hair from bad hair color hell (which of course she did and it looks amazing) and when she pulled out that same oil treatment and used it on my hair too, leaving it once again super soft, I knew I had to get ahold of a bottle of my own.
The price was a bit steep at ~$30 for a 3.4oz bottle but you only really use a little so it should last a while. I use a dime-size amount on damp hair before I blow dry, the company claims that it shortens drying time which I have noticed my hair dries faster but it could also be because I did get it cut shorter. It smells really, really good which, although not necessarily important, is something I really like in a good hair product. And it absorbs really quickly and is not greasy at all as some other oils can be (coconut or jojoba) which can weigh the hair down. But the best part is this leaves my hair really shiny and feeling super healthy, like I can’t even believe it’s my own hair after all the damaging things I put it through.
All in all, great conditioning product, leaves hair feeling healthy without weighing it down or leaving an oily residue.

Moroccanoil Oil Treatment (3.4 oz)
Just as a prenote, as some of you may know my hair is platinum blonde and as much as I know (and preach) that avoiding heat styling is damaging every once in a while you just can't help but blow dry or run a flat iron through your hair, right? For the most part my hair is in good condition, much to my hair stylists surprise. I use moisturizing products and get it trimmed regularly but when it comes to bleaching hair (yes going blonde involves bleaching) some damage is unavoidable. So although I try and take necessary precautions in times like the summer when I'm out in the sun a lot my hair can tend to feel a bit on the dry side and in need of extra moisture.
My number one favorite moisturizing treatment for whipping my hair back into shape would have to be Kerastase Masquintense, it's amazing and leaves my hair feeling like, well, hair! But at $50 for a 6.8-ounce bottle this treatment can run a little expensive so I'm always on the lookout for a product that gives me the same great results while being a little easier on the wallet.
So to continue my search I decided to give Redken's All Soft Heavy Cream a try, at $17 for a 8.5-ounce tube the price was a little more affordable. I have tried other products from the Redken All Soft line in the past as I've heard raves about it from many people but to be honest I didn't think much of it and found it just didn't perform as well as other salon brands but I hadn't tried the Heavy Cream so I thought I would give it a fair chance and try it out.

Ever spend forever curling or teasing your hair for that perfect pulled-back ponytail look only to pull it through the elastic a few times and it ends up looking dull or flat? Try this.
Instead of pulling your hair through the elastic again and again ruining the style you spent so much time achieving, take an elastic and attach 2 bobby pins, one on each side. Secure one bobby pin into the ponytail and wrap the elastic around the base of the hair and then fasten the other bobby pin. This will insure your styled hair won't get ruined while you're putting it back.
